I confess! I love Chanel, lipsticks and nude glossy lips!
Therefore, here you have my most loved Chanel products: the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks in #48 Évasion and #56 Aventure.
Both colours are lovely for any occasion, whenever you want to brighten up your look effortlessly. They look good with a neutral eye, with a smoky eye, and even when you are only wearing blush and mascara. Which I often do!

#48 Évasion is a lovely light colour that looks very natural on me. Not too pink and not too coral, but the perfect balance between the two. A very chic and classic pale, pastel lipstick. Actually, it’s a little bit less than lipstick, but more than a gloss. It has enough pigment to be a lipstick, but glossy as well, and feels very light on the lips. The lasting power leaves a bit to be desired, though… Maybe because of the hydrating proprieties which offer the comfort of a continuous 8-hour-long hydration – thanks to the Hydratender complex, the secret behind the softness of the Rouge Coco range.

#57Aventure is a very flattering warm pink lipstick, with fine gold shimmers. You can’t go wrong with this colour. An easy, casual colour that can be swept on for a touch of shine and moisture. Again, this line is not intended to give the pigmentation or have the lasting power of the other Chanel lipsticks: Rouge Allure or Rouge Coco. Although so sheer, it gives a visible pink flush on my already pigmented lips.

In terms of texture, they become fluid in contact with the lips and provide a stunning gloss effect with natural shine. I think they are very close to the Dior Rouge Serums ( reviewed here ) in every way: texture, pigmentation, glossiness, lasting power, even the price tag is almost the same.
Unfortunately these two shades are discontinued, but you can try your luck with some sellers on eBay. Last time I checked, you could still find Aventure on www.aoro.ro. Right now, the Rouge Coco Shine has a permanent collection of 18 luminous shades, from nude beige to tangy red.
What are your opinions on the Coco Shines? Do you love them or hate them?
See you soon, beautiful!
xx, Annie
INTERESTING FACT:
“From her first successes to magical encounters, the shade names of these lipsticks tell the story of Coco Chanel at the dawn of her destiny”, says on their webside. So, #54 Boy – wears the name of Arthur Capel, also known as “Boy”, Gabrielle’s first and only true love, the man who helped her open her first shop in #67 Deauville. #62 Monte Carlo – in 1931, while living in Monte Carlo, Chanel made the acquaintance of Samuel Goldwyn and started to produce costumes for MGM stars, at Hollywood. #61 Bonheur – Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel was her complete name…
