I’m so sorry guys, but with this post I will bring you a sad news!
Dior has discontinued my precious Crème de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm. Why, dear Dior, why?!
If you are a fan of the product – like me – I recommend you to stock up as soon as you can.
The product is sold out almost everywhere but I managed to find it on the Sephora website.
See you soon, beautiful!
xx, Annie

Just when I jumped on the bandwagon of this beloved product, it slipped right out of my grasp. So sad to hear this. I have to stock up as much as I can or ration the one I do have. WHY DIOR?! WHYYYY??!!!

Say it isn’t so? I may have to pick one up before they’re gone forever. Fr the life of me I can’t imagine why Dior would do this 😦

you should definitely give it a try! it is the closest to my all time fav By Terry Baume de rose, but less expensive… oh, well!… you know what I mean! and I think it’s temporary because it’s a very hyped and love product. getting it out permanently would be such a marketing mistake. xx

I’m not sure yet. their official answer was more than ambiguous and elusive. “Dear Miss…, we inform you that… ” – the end. I just hope it won’t be a permanent decision 😐

I can never understand why companies do that. Chanel are also notorius for discontinuing top selling lines. Madness. But i guess they have to keep reinventing themselves and that’s why they do it.

I agree! At the end of the day it’s all about marketing! “I, Dior, have discontinued one of my top selling product, but hold the phone! There’s a greater one on its way to you, customers!” Guess it works like this! xx

Yes, this trend is heartbreaking and getting worse. The cemetery of great discontinued products: Perscriptives Navy Rose lipstick – discontinued shortly after its creation, I think that’s why the company went out of business! Caldwell Massey’s Chamomile soaps – a precious, luscious cargo in a box of three smelled like honey only a zillion times better, like honey in heaven…gone forever! Estee Lauder ended their Hyacinth Sky eyeliner but I noticed they brought it back…only it is not the same perfect green blue! And their maximum coverage makeup saved my life until it became unavailable. It’s always sold out, like as the world population grows they are cutting production, making the women who need it crazy! Frederick Fekkai’s Coiff Bouffant was his best product and he killed it. Terra’s Hair Elixir disappeared and when it came back the formula was not as effective. The original turned my color treated dryness into soft glass. Benefit’s Some Kind of Gorgeous was complexion perfection in a compact. When they first released it, one of the two colors was my perfect match and it made my skin flawless. I used it up fast, the only makeup I actually finished and my second one was a different, disappointing product which did not match my skin tone and just sat there looking useless. Why do beauty product companies play this maddening game?!
