This is definitely the summer of the big launches! And when I say big, I mean really BIG beauty lines launches!
I have noticed lately that all the big fashion houses ( see details about the new Gucci makeup line here ) release a beauty line. Now it is Christian Louboutin‘s turn to come on the beauty market with a beauty product line called – what else than Louboutin Beauté, which will clearly have the grand maître’s unique mark on.
Of course, the main focus is going to be around the iconic Louboutin RED we can see on the sole of his shoes.
For now we have a launch of a RED nail polish, in the shade Rouge Louboutin, available already on pre-order on Saks Fifth Avenue‘s, Nordstrom‘s Bergdorf Goodman‘s websites and, of course, on Louboutin‘s official website.
But rumors say that a few shades of RED lipstick are going to be released pretty soon.
The retail price for the the nail polish is 50 $. US dollars that is!
What else can we say?! Welcome to the makeup world, Monsieur Louboutin!

$50 is stretching it pretty far! I splurged on Guerlain and Marc Jacobs polishes, and I thought I was being extravagant with those… I’m with you. It would have to be magical to make it worth twice other prestige brands.

Even Tom Ford sells his nail polishes for almost half the price! ( 32$ ) haha! 🙂 :d What can I say about Dior and Chanel?! They sell for half the price! :))

You’re right on that too! But how amazing can a nail polish be?! By extention – even the RED soles wear off! What to expect from a nail product?! Have to admit though that the colour is amazing! 🙂 xx

I know. I love my Guerlain polish (high end) and JulieG polishes (value brand). I can’t imagine it getting better than these polishes. I just don’t know if it’s worth it to me. Thanks for venting with me :0)

My favourite formula has always been from Dior! And now with the new gel shine formula I love that even more!

$50! I’ve splurged on makeup before, but never that much for a nail polish. It better be the most gorgeous shade of red, fast drying and not chip for weeks.

I love the idea of Louboutin joining the makeup world but my gosh 50 bucks? I’ve never been one to say no to red nail polish or lipstick but there’s a first time for everything. I’ll see what happens when it’s been released.

I’m not too much into nail polish so this won’t be on my wish list, but if I see it in store I’d definitely give it a look just because the packaging is so unique! For a collector or a hard core Louboutin fan I’m sure it will be exciting.
I have a pair of his nude or black pumps on my “if I ever have more money than I know what to do with” wish list 🙂
