I love Charlotte Tilbury makeup! And I can’t wait to try more! But until then let me show you an amazing colour I can’t wait to wear next summer! Can you tell I miss summer?!
This is the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Luminous Modern-Matte Lipstick Sexy Sienna.
Meant to create the illusion of fuller, wider lips, with a matte finish and in a long-lasting, buildable and hydrating formula the Matte Revolulution lipsticks will offer you an unbelievable experience on the lips. Enriched with tree extract which protects your lips and it’s a natural anti-oxidant, and Orchid Extract which soothes and hydrates for a soft, buildable cashmere finish.
The colour is so pigmented and it feels smooth when it is applied on the lips ( only one swipe is enough! ). The formula is not drying at all and it doesn’t apply patchy like other lipsticks tend to do! Guilty for that are the Triglycerides mixed with a perfect blend of oils and waxes which glides on the long-lasting colour and the 3D glowing pigments meant to give you younger-looking, healthy and luminous lips.
And check out that innovative square, angled shaped tip which mimics to perfection the ergonomic and precise application of a professional lip brush.
What can I tell you about the packaging… I simply adore it! The beautiful rose gold bullet with the retro vibe to it… It will definitely make you feel like an old Hollywood diva! And it will look amazing on any vanity!
Here you have it swatched next to two of my favourite lipsticks for comparison. you can see it in the middle swatched next to the Givenchy Le Rouge lipsticks which has one of my favourites formulas ever and one of the Dior Nudes. As you can see compared to the Givenchy Le Rouge Beige Plume, Sexy Sienna is a deeper and brighter orange-tonned pink, very opaque. And compared with Charnelle differs the colour and the finish! Sexy Sienna is a peachy coral and Charnelle is more pink and definitely not opaque!

Oh I did check out TF matte lipsticks in Selfridges, they are really really lovely. They were out of stock on few shades of the mattes and even Cherry Lush wasn’t available 😦 Boohoo

I’m also waiting for Stoned Rose to arrive and along with a few more gorgeous items! I’m also very excited about these deliveries! it’s the first time I’m ordering from the CT website and I’m a bit nervous about that!
as for the TF mattes from Selfridges, they weren’t available for international delivery only for UK and Click and Collect! so it wasn’t an option for me anyway! haha!
but I can’t wait to be able to get me some! 😉

My thoughts exactly lovely! I don’t have a CT counter anywhere near me so I kind of blindly ordered it online! And when I first opened it… WOW! What a colour!, I thought. But then I tried it on and I really loved it! I was expecting a pinkier orange though, if that makes sense…

that pretty packaging lured me too! but when I first tried the lipstick on I was “doomed” I instantly knew I had to have more! LOL
and the obvious consequence was that with the excuse of being my bday I kind of splurged on quite “a few” more! bahaha!

I really wanted the red one from the Maleficent collection but I couldn’t find it at the MAC counters here… and now I kind of want Ruby Woo and Russian Red… but still deliberating!

Ohh really? Oh I love them! Obviously some are better than others… I don’t hsve Ruby Woo but heard it’s very dry. I have Russian Red and really like it! If you want to consider other colours let me know & I’ll let you know my thoughts if I have them 🙂

My favourite finishes are amplified (super pigmented & creamy, last long) and cremesheen (nice and creamy).
Favourite nudes – Blankety, Creme Cup, Jubilee & Shy Girl. Red’s – Russian Red is lovely and I adore Lady Danger (orange toned red). A friend has Lady Bug and it looks great – a classic red.

Haven’t tried any lip liners yet believe it or not
… nest on the lost to buy! Other products I love… their powders! MAC Mineralise Skin Finish – they come in many different shades and are so soft and are great for setting makeup. Love them! The ones in light and medium plus are my favourites. They’re highlighters are great too!

I was after Soft and Gentle for a while but I gave up! that’s nowhere to be found either! I also have my eyes on one of their finishing powders too! I’ve heard that they photograph like a dream! 😉

it’s not a recent purchase anyway! it’s one of my oldest lipsticks in my collection! it’s a red though! and I love the colour on against my skin tone! It didn’t caused any reaction on my lips and I couldn’t bring myself to throw it away… just yet!
