This particular skincare item has been on my wish list ever since I can’t even remember. So, when the lovely Alina from Debenhams UK contacted me via email, with the kind offer to send me a couple of skincare products to try, I was over the Moon as expected!
But what is it?
The Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is “a replenishing elixir of pure essential oils and distilled botanicals, to visibly restore the appearance of skin by morning. So it is an overnight treatment serum meant to give you a facelift by morning”.
Does it work?
Let me put it like this: even if you are skeptical about using serum oils on your skin yet your skin shows signs of dullness, enlarged pores and shows signs of aging, this is the perfect weapon for an overnight skin renewal.
You’ll instantly see signs of improvement on your skin thanks to the high concentration of essential oils, Squalane and Evening Primerose that are readily absorbed by the skin and work on it the entire night.
At night, I usually use a serum and a cream, but this concentrate serum is moisturising enough to use on its own and does not leave any oily residue. Love the calming lavender scent too, since I often have troubles sleeping.
It comes in this elegant, apothecary-looking glass bottle provided with a pipette, which deposits in one drop the right amount of product. I use 3-4 drops depending on the needs of my skin that night.
I’ve been using the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate for almost two months now and I barely made a dent in it! And I can say that my skin has never felt and looked better, rested, softer, plumper than it does now! I’m not ready to swear on the “reducing the lines” claim yet, but I will definitely use it all and absolutely repurchase it!
My man also loves it, especially after he shaves! He said that the serum made his skin feel soft without any irritation or undesirable ingrown hairs!
This “hard-working” 99,8% natural concentrate is intensely moisturizing and nourishing and it is the perfect step in your skincare routine to say “Good night!” to dull, dry, irritated skin and to minimize those pesky fine signs of aging!
Shop now your own Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate here.
Have you tried this product yet? What else would you recommend to get from Kiehl’s?
See you soon, beautiful!
xx, Annie

Hi there lovely! How are you? This product sounds like a miracle in a bottle! It might be something that I would even splurge on lol. You will have to let me know after using it long-term if you have noticed any changes. The lavender scents sounds really relaxing for bedtime. I haven’t ever used anything from Kiehl’s but have heard wonderful things. This is so great that you were able to try this product. I hope all is well. Lots of xx ❤ 🙂

My lovely, if there’s just one product from all the skincare I reviewed on this blog that you absolutely HAVE to splurge on, THIS is the one!
I’ve been using it almost every night for one month and a half now and I absolutely love what it does to my skin!
The nights when I don’t use it is when I have my masks! But the following night when I use it I’m like wow, that’s amazing stuff!
It’s a good thing that it works for all skin types, it’s not irritating and works on men skin too! We both used it and barely made a dent in it! So it will last for quite a while!
It is pricey but really amazing! 👌😌😊
I’ve heard the the avocado eye cream from Kiehl’s in pretty amazing too so I might get that one too! 😁

I think there will always be mixed reviews on products as expensive as the Kiehls products. Equally, taken as a product it’s perfect for dry, damaged skin in particular. Not a necessity but I would definitely say a life saver for problem skin. A sample sounds like a great idea! Aw you’re very welcome, really enjoyed your post x

This seems like a great one to give skin that fine, dewy look! Does it help to clear pigmentation? I have been using the Ole Hendriksen serum to clear dark spots on my skin but would love to try other products that deliver similar (if not better result). Thanks hun! Love your posts! 🙂 xo~ Lena

Hi my beautiful little one! I’m sorry but I don’t have the answer to that as my skin didn’t deal with hyper pigmentation lately! It did helped with my enlarged pores and blackheads and with cleared my rosacea too! Not to mention how supple and hydrated my skin feels! Not even one dry patch! And my makeup goes on so smoothly! 👌😌
But for the occasional discolouration I have from an angry blemish I use an enzymatic peeling mask like the one from Elemis with papaya extract and the Sarah Chapman’s Skinesis Overnight Treatment and in two to three days that pesky blemish mark completely disappears!
I hope you find these useful as well!
I also hope you had an amazing week this far!

This does sound lovely! I’ve been very curious about Kiehl’s. I receive their emails, and have been waiting to take the plunge. As you know though, there are so many beauty products on my wish list. Kiehl’s just seems like a company that has skincare worked out; that one can trust they are purchasing a high-quality well-made product when they purchase a Kiehl’s.
I hope your first week back to work after the business trip is treating you well and that you’re rested up after the bad cold and travel.
Lots of love!

I definitely agree with you! There are so many things on our wish lists that when we get to try amazing products like the Kiehl’s ones we wonder what in the world we expected this much?!
Definitely recommend this serum! The Sarah Chapman’s Skinesis Overnight Treatment was the one I’ve been using before this one and I have to say that I like this one better! Plus it gave me instant results which never happened with another serum!
Work is… well, work! It was nice while in Milan but now I’m back to the usual working rhythm! We’re having a big meeting tomorrow, which is why I can’t go to the post office to ship your prize and Katie’s prize too!
I hope you don’t mind my lovely! 🙏😌
How are you? Any plans for the weekend? Or yo have your shifts this weekend too?

Good luck with work. Are you feel okay about everything?
I don’t go back to work until Monday now, so I’m trying to rest up (not easy though because I seem to have caught the mother of all colds now). Tonight Andy and I are going to the university’s annual art auction. It’s about time for me to start primping, LOL. I’ve got a work meeting I have to go to directly before the auction…. Next week we have another fundraiser. Andy will producing a painting during the fundraiser, and our daughter Amber will be playing a bluegrass piece on violin with her violin group. :o) It’ll be fun!!
Hugs and kisses

Wow! Looks like you’ll have amazing plans for the following days! Why don’t you make a blog post about that ma belle? And maybe you’ll insert a little clip with Amber playing and a few shoots with Andy’s painting… I don’t know, it’s just a suggestion! 😊
Otherwise I’m pretty much fine! I try to keep myself as busy as I can! And work really takes care of that aspect… Most of it anyway! 😁😁😁
Get well soon ma belle! Bisous

This is my holy grail! I have raved about this since the day I got it. I used to get tons of bumps on my skin and it turned out that my night cream was just too heavy so my skin couldn’t breathe. This fixed that basically immediately. I think when you have skin that leans dry, you think you need something heavy but this proves otherwise. I sprung for the big bottle of few months ago, I can’t be without this.

Hi Chels! Yes, that the mistake everyone with dry skin does all the time! Using a heavy cream can often clogg pores causing blemishes and irritation because skin can’t “breath” as you said.
Yes, this stuff is beyond amazing and life-changing and I can’t say enough good things about it! I will make sure it won’t be missing from my skincare routine from now on! 😉
What do you mean by a bigger bottle though? I have the 30 ml one… Is there a bigger one? 😕

I have been using that facial oil for quite a while and yes, the hydrating effect is obvious. Some call it ‘8 hours sleep in a bottle’. I normally use it after night shift. I would like to recommend the amino acid shampoo and conditioner from Kiehl’s. ❤️

Lucky you 😉 For the moment my relationship with Kiehls is over, after I happened to break out heavily using their toner and moisturizer. But it’s always nice when retailers offer us a trial of what we put in our wishlists…it’s the best way to attract a customer, in my opinion. So enjoy your serum and yes, oils are gorgeous to the skin.

The avocado eye cream is really popular that’s true! Eye creams are a bit tricky for me! Some very rich, moisturising creams tend to give me those little grease bumpy bags on the eye area… But the reviews I read about this particular eye cream didn’t mention this aspect. That’s why I asked you!

First of all the packaging is genius, I love it and it couldn’t be more useful! This might sound weird but I definitely think you can add a few drops to your hair mask as well. I do that with skin serums and I get super shiny hair, especially of you have the time to let it sit for 20-30 minutes. I haven’t tried this one in particular, but it seems like a must have, checking it out asap! Xx

I definitely recommend this serum though! Even if it’s an oil based one it’s one of the most lightweight, easy to absorb I have ever tried! And there’s no oily residue whatsoever! Plus it’s very hydrating and helps with skin imperfections!
Not that you have any since you’re so lovely anyway! 😁😁😁
