Guerlain know how to make luxurious products. That’s no secret to anyone! And with the Guerlain Les Tendres Collection for Spring 2015 they did not disappoint once more.
If you don’t know already, let me tell you what the collection is made of:
– the Météorites Compact Light-Revealing Powder – a new and Permanent ( thank goodness! ) product, which comes in three shades #2 Clair, #3 Medium and #4 Doré
– Permanent are also the Météorites Baby Glow
a light-revealing base infused with the magic dust of the Météorites powder; available in three shades as well, #2 Clair, #3 Medium and #4 Doré– the Météorites Perles de Blush
, the first ever luxury blush in pearl form that I have ever seen, a gorgeous-looking product to have in your makeup collection. Hurry up though and grab yours since this one is a Limited Edition– also LE are the two Écrin 4 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palettes, in #18 Les Nuées and #504 Les Précieux
– the KissKIss Shaping Cream Lip Colour in #540 Peach Satin and #560 Rosy Silk ( LE )
– the Guerlain Nail Lacquer
in #368 Baby Rose ( LE )Here you have one of the advertisements for the Guerlain Les Tendres Collection for Spring 2015 collection.

I was attracted only by the Météorites Compact Light-Revealing Powder in the shade #4 Doré which I intend to use as a blusher/highlighter.
The classic, cult Météorites Pearls are finely pressed to form a beautiful mosaic of light-enhancing slightly shimmery gold pieces and corrective shades of refreshing pink and light-catching mauve, plus a few chocolate hued ones to warm up the skin. The result is a skin that looks soft, smooth, delicate and beautifully natural.
Maybe I should’ve started with saying that this is the most pigmented of the three shades and that is the only one really noticeable on the skin. Even if there are only three pieces of pink coloured sections in this combination, I was so surprised to see how pink his powder shows on the skin! I was used to the translucent, more natural finish of the other two shades. I wouldn’t use it as an all-over powder though, mainly for that reason.
I also red while I was doing my researches, that #4 Doré was actually made for to serve that precise purpose: to give colour as a blush and luminosity as a highlighter.
But if you like that effect and you still want to use it all-over your face stay assured that it will still blur imperfections and it will subtly brighten your complexion without adding a lot of sheen.
The powder is soft and finely mild, but compared to the other two I found it a bit more drier and causing a lot more fall out, which for some might mean wasting a lot of product. I personally don’t mind it since it comes with a good 10g which I’m sure will last me quite a while. I only make sure to tap the whatever excess might be on the brush before the application.
I also like to apply it with fluffy, dense brush like my Tom Ford #06 Cheek Brush which I find perfect for the effect I want to get or the Hakuhodo J210 Blush Brush Round, but this one has shorter bristles which makes blending a bit more difficult. Using the Tom Ford brush, I’m sure that the application will be from the top of the bristles to build up the intensity of the colour and the blending will be done by the multiple bristles.
Here you have some hand swatches.
The scent is the usual delicate floral and feminine violet fragrance, inimitable and addictive for some, but I recognize that for some sensitive noses this might give a bit of a headache.
Overall impressions:
As with the Météorites Pearls, the Guerlain Météorites Compact Light-Revealing Powder is not an absolute must-have. The product is nice bit I very much prefer the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders ( see reviews here and here ) for the ultimate glowing, healthy skin.
It is definitely less spectacular to keep on your vanity than the Pearls as the packaging is… well, compact. But it is amazing for traveling because it takes less space and it’s easier to use – which is always a plus!
I’m not bothered by the, consistency, pigmentation, fall-out or by the scent!
Will I get another one? I don’t know!… I initial choice was the shade #2 Clair and of course, I still have my mind on it!
So what should I do, my lovelies? Should I get it as well? HELP!
What have else have you tried and think I should get as well?
I hope you’re having a great week! See you soon, beautiful!
xx, Annie

I picked up the blush because I couldn’t resist the tiny balls. I nearly picked up the Baby Balm but it’s too pink for my complexion. Dore looks great on your skin… and yes, go pick up Claire!

This is just so pretty to look at!
I can see how it would work great as a blush, though I am just as surprised as you as to how pink it turns on the skin. Great choice. Not sure the other colors would add much if they are more translucent, but I can totally see why you are tempted!
hope you have a lovely week,
lots of xx

They are aren’t they?! 😻 This one I got the first from all the new launches for the Spring and it took me so long to dip my brush in it! I’m so happy this actually works for me! Even if it’s as a blush! So fresh and subtle! 👌😌😊
Lots of 😘😘😘 and wishes for a great week as well!

Oh! And the other powders, even if they’re more translucent they give the skin that same luminosity the Hourglass Powders do! But with less pigment! If that makes sense! It’s a finishing powder not a blotting, fixing your makeup in place kind of product like the usual ones!

Hi my lovely! It does make sense! It’s because the soft pink hues in it that you get this feeling! I thought the same as well! 😊
We had it for a while now at the counters and I sure recommend a trip to their closest counter anyway! 😁😉😋

Isn’t that a gorgeous gorgeous clip my lovely?
Well, to be completely honest it took me quite a while and quite some courage to finally dip my brush in this gorgeous pattern! Fortunately it wasn’t ruined at all since it isn’t an overspray! And it’s still pretty to look at!
And I find myself still staring at! 😳😅🙈🙊

Hi lovely Heather! Thanks for stopping by and for the lovely comment!
If you allow me, I would make you a recommendation since you said you’ve never tried anything Guerlain yet!
Definitely go for the bronzing powders or if you like the concept and you’re a sucker for pretty packaging, get one of these or the highlighting Pearls!

Yes, it is pretty amazing in both forms powders and pearls! It’s easy to use as an all-over powder but Doré is gorgeous as a blush indeed for us pale girls!
