I’m fairly new to NARS products but they’re definitely some of my favourites I have tried so far! So I can fit into the #narsissist tag as well as any NARS long time lover out there! You know what I mean, right?
Knowing my obsession with blushers, these were one of the first products I had my eyes on. I really wanted their cult product Orgasm, but when I got the chance to swatch, I decided that the glittery show it put on wasn’t for me… So I went for a mild version of it… Deep Throat.
NARS Deep Throat Blush is a “flirty, sheer peach”* with fine, golden shimmers that gives your cheeks the most beautiful, natural look. It can easily fit in the family of the peachy-corals as well, but a warmer one due to the pink undertones that makes it the perfect balance between a true coral that can often pull out orange on certain complexions, and those red blushers. This will never happen with Deep Throat!
Made with the finest milled powder, you can bet on a soft, blendable texture and an application with a minimum of effort thanks to highest-intensity hues. This is not the most pigmented NARS blusher ( think Exibit A! ). Applied with a light hand it transfers on the cheeks more of a pigmented highlighter, which makes it excellent for an everyday wear. But don’t worry it can be built up to a higher intensity and still look naturally gorgeous!
This is a swatch-comparison I did a while back when I wrote the review on my Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Swish & Pop Blusher in Love Glow, where you can see comparisons of several blushers from my collection that are pretty similar to Deep Throat.
[ Can you sense a theme here?! But believe me, they all are unique in their own way! At least I can see the difference!… ]
The packaging is the slick, ruberized one NARS has us used with! Lovely, but not practical because it collects fingerprints like crazy! But if that doesn’t bother you that’s fine! I, for once, I’m mesmerized with what’s inside it to see whatever flaws it might have!
Overall, I’m really pleased with how this one performs on me! It has everything expected from a blush in the most balanced way possible! I definitely recommend Deep Throat for those of you who like a natural, effortless, soft look!

Gorgeous shade! This seems to be quite a popular one! I haven’t tried anything from NARS yet but luckily there seem to be a lot of dupes out there. Don’t you just love the names though? Lol! 🙂 xx

Anyways, the shades and the quality of the products is amazing!
Definitely recommend them! And they’re not as crazy expensive as other high end brands out there!

Hi beautiful! I don’t know about the whole choosing Deep Throat over Orgasm…LOL That is hilarious! I can only imagine the comments you will get! Haha! I would probably more likely be able to purchase a NARS Audacious Lipstick instead of say a Tom Ford one when it comes to price lol. You’re right that they are a bit more affordable then some other higher end brands!

Thanks for asking sweet Annie! I am doing all right. I have been a little sore lately from the trip. Ron and I are both sore from a hike we did but it was really worth it! We took plenty of pictures and some are on Instagram of course. 🙂 We had a great time! I wish we could have stayed longer. How was your weekend? You said you were going to the mountains too? 🙂

I own Orgasm and as amazing as it is, there are many cheaper alternatives out there now. I think you made a good choice by picking Deep Throat, it’s so pretty!!

Hi my lovely! Yes, Orgasm is a gorgeous one, easily dupeable but it still has that “something” that makes it special! 😉
I went for Deep Throat because it suits my needs better than Orgasm, being a softer, more natural colour!

Yes, this is a gorgeous blush for us, natural makeup lovers!
It works amazing on pale skins and now that I managed to get me some tan, the golden shimmers in it makes it look even more beautiful! 😻💕💕
Definitely recommend this one! It’s like a less expensive version of TF Frantik Pink! 😉👌🏼

As for Deep Throat, except for the name which I’m not the biggest fan of, I love it! I am that person who buys a product and uses it after more than 6 months… And now that I finally reviewed it and get to use it on a daily basis, I feel like I was loosing precious time where I could’ve enjoyed it!
Definitely replace it asap!

Oh no! Hope that difficult period is over now and only blue skies ahead for you ❤️ I definitely will replace it soon 😃 it is just with so many great blushes out there it’s hard to remember the old when I buy the new lol. I totally see how all those shades of blush are different btw, this would so happen if I pulled out my own collection. Besides, you need options 😀
I have to agree with you that the packaging isn’t the best looking, but I do find it convenient for travel (I don’t own any of their blushes, but I have a contour palette in exactly the same packaging).

one thing is sure: one can never have enough makeup! no matter what that is: lipstick, blosh, bronzer, highlighter… you name it!
and I’m so happy we’re on the same page lovely! like that I have at least someone who really understands my addiction for minimal and functional makeup! LOLOLOL

Orgasm was om my list instead of Deep Throat! but I got the chance to swatch it first in Milan and decided that it was too glittery for me! so I went for Deep Throat instead! and I couldn’t be happier!
definitely want to get more as well! I would love to have Exibit A! but I know it’s too bold for me! 😀

I really need to swatch Deep Throat, it looks lovely! Exhibit A is very bold! I have my eye firmly on Dolce Vita, it looks such a pretty colour! I also really wanted to try Doucer but I believe its been discontinued 😦

really beautiful color! I was always afraid of the shimmer because I had had Orgasm before and wasn’t a fan! But this might be a better choice! ^^

exactly lovely! this is not the glittery fest Orgasm is! it does give a sheen to your cheeks but it will never make you look like a disco ball no matter how much you apply!
definitely recommend Deep Throat over Orgasm!

Deep Throat was probably one of my most-used blushes when I first got into makeup. I broke it out again the other day and forgot how much I loved it! Such a pretty shade!

I purchased a Nars/guy bourdin blush palette a couple of years ago and it is still going strong. I definitely prefer Deep Throat over Orgasm everyday!

Hi Annie! I do like Nars but every since I’ve bought Illamasqua blushes and LOVE them all.. I’ve neglected the Nars ones! So i can’t recommend what i don’t use 😛

Ooohh I love Lover ( all year round blusher for me!), Hussy and Sophie (quite shimmery) in powder form. Cream blushes, my favs are Rude and Dixie 😀

I won’t rec the hydraveils… doesn’t really work. The original lipstick formula is very dry. ..so swatch and check before you buy.
I think its worth checking out their blush line 🙂 nail polishes are good and long lasting but colours are a bit funky at times.

Amazing! I am super obsessed with Nars blushers! Don’t have this shade though. Also, Orgasm actually doesn’t transfer much glitter when applied on the face I find. Other favourite NARS blushers are Madly (peachy), Sin (plum) and Douceur (peach-pink) xxxx

Deep Throat is less shimmery than Orgasm which makes it lovely for a natural look! definitely recommend it! 😉 xx
