Let me start by saying that I’m yet to try a Charlotte Tilbury product and not to be amazed by its quality. Not even one!…

And if you have the curiosity to flip through my blog posts I’m sure that you’ll easily see that at a certain point there was no week without at least one Carlotte Tilbury products – related review! I’m quite hooked on her line… And for all the good reasons!

Anyways… Long story short!… The Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon are no exception! Mine are in the Shades Bronzed Garnet, which is recommended mainly for green eyes to be used for a daytime makeup and Intoxicating Violet, recommended mainly for hazel eyes. Just keep in mind that these recommendations are only guidelines for the usage of the shades, that are meant to emphasis the colour they “represent”… Well, I’m not much about doing everything “by the book”, especially when it comes to makeup!… So I incorporated both shades into my FOTDs and they were just fine for my brown-y/hazel-ish at times eyes… See me wearing Bronzed Garnet in this look here. The Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon Color Morphing Eyeshadow Pencils are without a doubt the best eye crayons I have ever tried since my beloved By Terry Ombre Blackstars. ( I know, I know! I keep promising you a full review on those for the longest time!… It will definitely be up soon! )

But by comparison, they’re literally the same thing just in a different packaging and by a different brand! They are crazy pigmented, creamy and they apply effortlessly, once they set they won’t crease or transfer no matter how oily your lids are! The colour selection is just good enough to satisfy all expectations!

The only difference beside the brand is the packaging! The Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleons come as a wooden pencil that you need to sharp quite often, when the Ombre Blackstars come in a twist up pen – which is more convenient! And also less messy! Oh! And since we’re on the topic “packaging”, let me tell you a little minus of the Chameleons… The lid kind of falls of the pencil, leaving its nib unprotected and making it prone to real dramas – if you were to carry it with you in your makeup bag! Not that you’d necessarily need to do such thing, since once applied it’s there to last all day! That aside – they’re flawless!

Bronzed Garnet is a bronzy-copper-y shade, with metallic red reflexions that definitely makes the green in every eye pop! And not on not only! The glitter in it is so complex and unique and finely milled and you won’t be experiencing any fall out whatsoever!

The same goes with Intoxicating Violet! It’s a beautiful deep violet colour, a bit more shimmer-y than Bronzed Garnet but equally beautiful and with no fall out also. The shimmer in this one is that kind of a holographic one, that in certain lights likes to show up pink and in other lights it looks fuchsia. Nothing scary though since blended out it’s not obvious at all!

As I said, both shades are really pigmented but they can be sheered out with a decent blending brush to achieve that effortlessly one-colour-smokey-eye-look, that will last on you all day long!

Bottom line: I definitely recommend the Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon Color Morphing Eyeshadow Pencils, as they are a great investment.
