Tom Ford‘s Golden Peach was, along with Naked Bronze, the two best sold Limited Edition eyeshadow duos from last year’s Soleil Summer Collection. Everybody wanted it, some lucky ones actually got it and fell in love from the first use!… I got it as well, and it’s safe to say that this is probably my most loved and used cream eyeshadow in my entire collection!
But wait! Here comes the best part! I recently found a permanent dupe for Golden Peach! It’s the By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Frozen Quartz. I know that the Tom Ford Golden Peach is a re-promote with the fairly recent launched 2016 Soleil Summer Collection, but the By Terry “Color-Fix” Cream Eye Shadow is just as good, pretty similar in terms of consistency, pigmentation and colour, and it also comes in this very practical and easy to use packaging. Plus it’s less expensive than it’s otherwise glorious dupe!

Here you have a swatch-comparison of the two eyeshadows; the only difference you can barely sense between the two is that Frozen Quartz shows up a bit cooler than Golden Peach… Nothing too obvious on the eyelids when applied and gets to set though!
Both formulas are creamy, easy to blend, buildable, great colour pay-off and amazing longevity! Excellent to use as a base for your eye makeup, instead of a primer. Your eye makeup won’t crease or move around the entire day!

The TF one should be out at the counter as we speak… again since it’s a re-promote with the Summer 2016 Collection! Check that one out if you live in the States and have a TF counter somewhere near you!

Oh these both look beautiful. I know the kiko long wear eyeshadow sticks are dupes for the by terry versions so I wonder if they do a similar shade? (They’re only £7!!) xxx

well, the best thing with these two is that you don’t need a primer no matter how oily your eyelids are!… you definitely have to give them a little time to set ( curl your lashes or something! ) and you’re good to go! 😉

they won’t dry out ( like some of the Chanel Illusion d’Ombre do! ), they won’t flake out, will be on your eyelids until you take them off… and will last you forever since you need just a tiny bit! 😉 xx

you’re most welcome precious Val! the choice is a tough one… at least for me! they both go extremely well with my skin tone and for as much as I love Golden Peach I’m reaching more for Frozen Quartz ever since I got it!… it might be the novelty of it that attracts me, I don’t know! haha!

let’s see! tricks and tips for improving your blog…
1) stop asking people to follow your blog! nobody wants to be forced into doing anything! this community is supportive especially with new bloggers anyway, so there’s no need to ask for more support when you’re getting it already for free…
2) follow blogs and be constant in leaving likes and comments on their posts! a returning reader will receive the same treatment he offers!
3) improve as much as you can your photography!
4) have a clear, clean, coherent and cohesive exprimation! grammar mistakes and misspellings are’t the prettiest! and your posts won’t show up at all in the searching engines list!
5) don’t use too many links; avoid as much as you can broken links
6) don’t cling on to numbers! you’ll miss all the fun!
7 be creative with your posts! try to diversify your content but make sure you remain faithful to your niche!
8) choose carefully your targets: what you’re writing about, who you’re addressing to, the age of those you want to read your posts ( and all such factors ) and stick to that! you can’t write today about the most expensive lipstick on the planet and about diswashing machines the next day!… you know what I mean?!
9) don’t spam the inboxes of brands with emails asking for free stuff, collaborations, especially paid ones… be patient and constant with your posts and they will reach you, you’ll see!
10) post regularly! and at least 2 to 3 times a week! if you have not that much time use the Scheduling feature that comes for free with our platform… like that you can take your photos and write pists whenever you can, schedule them ant they will go up whenever you wish…
And a BONUS no 11) and the most important enjoy what you do! it will show up in your posts even if you dodn’t make an effort to! 😉

the By Terry is a bit cooler indeed and it might give the illusion of depth better than the TF one! both are equally gorgeous indeed! 😉

I for to tell you I ended up picking up some things from TOM FORD. I picked up the bronze but now I am so tempted to pick up peach now!

I caved in and got naked bronze as well this summer and it was everything I wore on my lids… with a few small exceptions… never been happier with a purchase!😅
