Do you remember Monsieur Peter Philips? Do you remember my previous post about the divergent liner?
The divergent liner was Peter Philips’s – the new Creative and Image Director of Dior Makeup, proposal for Summer of 2014! Read full post here.
For the Dior Couture A/W 2014/2015 fashion show he came out with a new idea of eye liner. A graphic, futuristic, mirrored eyeliner to contrast with the historic elements of the collection and the fragility of the decor made entirely of white orchids, white podium, lights and mirrors – an ethereal atmosphere.
The mirrored eyeliner was the only graphic element which was really stood up against the rest of the makeup, the face of the models being pure and natural. His intention was again to create an impact in the same way the items of the couture collection create an impact by how they were reinterpreted. You should know that the whole Dior Couture Autumn-Winter 2014-2015 Collection was centered around Marie Antoinette’s wardrobe and that époque in general, combined with the modern elements of the twentieth century.
To create this look Peter Philips went for a natural, soft look: pastel colours on the “empty eye“, nude lips, a natural blusher and a bit of highlighter. More details on this look and the products he used on my next post ( link here )!
In the meanwhile, what do you think about this eye look? Would you wear it? I am already looking for products to recreate it for an event I have to participate next week!
See you soon, beautiful!
xx, Annie!
