I have already featured Ambre products in a previous blog post – the SPA AT HOME – Luxury products 1 – Body. But I have never done a proper review on any of these amazing natural findings. So, I thought it would be about time to start appreciate them also in writing.

Ambre Botanical is a small business based in Islington, London which produces raw, pure, natural skincare products. Every item is handmade, produced in small batches, using 100% natural ingredients and nothing else.

They source their ingredients from a local UK, fair-trade and organically certified suppliers. Their products are industry certified and fully conform to the European Cosmetics Products Safety Regulations. Free from any chemical additives, Ambre products deliver a healthy, effective, enjoyable and luxurious skincare experience.

Their products are created based on simple, effective, highly concentrated formulations that DO NOT contain any water and consequently NO CHEMICALS. They use ingredients derived from the plant source and a special cold process to retain their natural, potent, active nutrients in the final product.

They say that to create the Ambre Luxurious Oils Blend Vitamins & Fatty Acids Rich Face Serum they used the most rare and precious pure oils in generous quantities. It contains Marula Oil, one of the most valuable African oils, extremely rich in antioxidants and oleic acid. Also, cold pressed Rosehip Oil wich helps the regenerative cellular process helping reduce the lines, scars or burn marks. Another one is Primula Oil that is very rich in ama linoleic acid ( GLA ) to help restructure and maintain skin’s elasticity.

My thoughts on this particular face serum, after using it for a while, are that it helps regenerate the complexion without leaving a greasy film on the skin. Therefore it can be used at any time of the day, even before applying your makeup. It is very hydrating. After using it my skin didn’t felt dry or devitalized anymore. So it was easier for me to approach a no-foundation makeup look.

It has a very concentrated formula because it contains no water. So, a small amount of product is enough to cover the entire face area and neck. It also comes in a small 20 g bottle with a pipette – very convenient because I don’t have to stick my fingers inside the recipient to use the product. Hygiene matters!

It is suitable for all skin types, sensitive skin like mine included.

I got mine here, but you can also buy it directly from the company’s site here.

See you soon, beautiful!

xx, Annie

picture-23 – this is a picture I took the liberty to copy from area414 blog post and paste it here

This is a post I found on area414‘s blog. It is about gluten intolerance. How does it feel when you have it, what you should do to try to limit its effects as much as you can… Bottom line to live a normal life and most of all to enjoy it!

This is for all of you gluten intolerant people out there!

Beauty | Why Gluten May Be Your Skin’s Worst Enemy.

Stay healthy!

See you soon, beautiful!

beauty asian skin79 review honey face mask, romania, skin, skincare

Here I am again with a new review of a skincare item this time.

Everywhere around me I have heard so many beauty experts talking about Asian skincare products. I have to admit that I was jealous of them, because where I live it seems to be another world… Good things happen so late, that I even forget to enjoy most of them. ( Where in the world I’m I from?!… Narnia?! )*

Anyways… One day I came across this site http://www.skin79.ro … BB creams, face creams, eye care, mask sheets… Asian skincare heaven!!! Obviously I wanted everything, so I had to place an order.

The second day delivery literally blew my socks away!

But those face masks!!!!!

The first mask I have tried was the Honey Moisture Mask Sheet – the reason I ordered them in the first place. With this cold weather and sharp wind I really needed to put some moisture back into my skin.

On the Skin79 website they describe this mask as an anatomical mask, made of organic cotton, enriched with honey extracts. Prevents skin from drying by creating a protective shield. The olive and sweet almond oils in its composition brighten your complexion and restores it’s energy. As for the hyaluronic acid, it intensively hydrates your skin.

It hasn’t a strong smell. Texture is that of a soft cotton sheet soaked in a gel consistency liquid. It didn’t burn my face like Apivita masks did, which is always a good thing, right? I kept it on for 15 minutes ( recommended 10 – 15 minutes ) and it is so moist that, even after all that time, I still had to pat it on and work it into my skin. One thing I wasn’t too keen on was that it gave me a sensation of cold.

But, when I took the mask off, my face felt refreshed, moisturized, supple and elasticized, sensation that lasted for hours. It also cleared my redness areas a bit and made my pores less visible.

As a conclusion I’m very pleased with my first experience with the infamous Asian sheet mask. The results were visible immediately and I can’t wait to try the rest of the masks I bought ( all 8 of them; there is one more mask I didn’t featured in the picture and was a more luxury one, with snail extract ).

Please share with me your experience with Asian cosmetics! I’m so curious to try new products and I need more recommendations! So, please leave a comment below!

That would be all for now…

See you soon beautiful people!

xx, Annie

INTERESTING FACTS:

TIP: The regular price for a sheet mask is little over 2 euros, but if you order it online they have an offer – you can get a set of 4 masks: 1 x Honey Moisture Mask Sheet – helps moisturize, 1 x Pearl Brightening Mask Sheet – for brightening, 1 x Tea Tree Calming Mask Sheet – for acne-pron skin and 1 x Red Ginseng Repairing Mask Sheet – for firmness for only 6 euros. Yes!!! Just 6! Bar-gain! I tell you!!!

*I also need to explain myself: I DO NOT live in a closet… although I saw a few closets I’d gladly live in.
