How much I wished to be able to use the #narsissist in my Instagram photos you have no idea!
Now that Selfridges.com did me this immense joy and made shipping available for some selected NARS items, this is the final result! A bunch of eyeshadows and two beautiful, beautiful blushes!
I’ll take the blushes out of the way first, as they were the first that went into my cart!
So, without second thoughts, I picked Deep Throat, one of NARS‘ cult favourite blushes among the beauty addicts all-over the world. It’s one of their most best selling blushes, right next to Orgasm ( which btw wasn’t available ).
And my second pick was this gorgeous highlighting, gold hued blush with an absolutely gorgeous name: Albatross. Can’t wait to use this one too!
My favourite makeup God, Peter Philips from Dior ( I’m sure you already know who I’m talking about if you followed my makeup obsessive rambles for a while! ) used this amazing pink-toned highlighting Diorblush in #536 Peach Splendor for the makeup look on the Ready-to-Wear Spring 2015 Colection. I instantly felt in love with the colour and the soft, diffused effect on the cheeks ( You can read the whole post about the entire Dior S/S 2015 makeup collection here).
I have high hopes that with Albatross I will get the same soft effect: a golden, diffused touch!
As you can see I went a bit eyeshadow crazy too! According to the reviews I red online, these are amazing as well! So I got myself “a few” to try out!
Of course I went for neutrals first! Alhambra – a beautiful little palette I see myself reaching for everyday. Cordura, another beautiful eyeshadow palette, the colours are more dark and intense, excellent for a smokey eye. Alhambra and Cordura coordinate themselves in colour so a combination between the two is most likely to happen!
The last eyeshadow palette I went for was in a bolder colour combination! It has this name that always puts a smile on my face: Mélusine. Behind this lovely name there’s also a funny character… But I will tell you more about it when I will write a proper review.
I also picked two gorgeous single eye shadows, one in a not-so-surprisingly taupe colour Ashes to Ashes and another one, Mekong, in the most gorgeous deep, dark chocolate brown, with iridescent specks of glitter… just because it was too gorgeous not to! […]
This was it… For now!
Next I would love to get my hands on a couple of their new Audacious Lipsticks Collection lipsticks ( I currently have 5 on my list!? ), but most of the shades I want are only for English buyers with the Buy&Collect program or they’re currently out of stock.
Same questions as in my previous “New in…”, the Charlotte Tilbury makeup post… What recommendations do you have for me? What are your NARS favourites and what should I get next? And, of course, what product do you want me to review first?

It’s such a gorgeous, unique colour! Definitely out to of my comfort zone! And it’s a matte one, which is the finish I kind of prefer in eyeshadows…

I’m really curious about the Nars eyeshadows. Do you consider getting the Narsissist palette?

Hi Reify! I would so definitely get me one Narsissist palette but unfortunately they aren’t available for shipping to my country… Well, none of the palettes are! 😩😔
But let me assure you that the quality of this products is AMAZING! I didn’t expected a whole lot but I’m beyond pleased with my purchase! 😊👌

I wish I had gotten a few things from Nars when I was in France, I’ve never tried anything from them. I’m a forever planning person but I always end up spending my money on other stuff 😉 I had actually removed the Nars eyeshadows from my wishlist because I’ve read that they have a lot of fallout and are not great quality considering the price. Can’t wait for your review on them!

I will definitely let you know how I get along with them. It’s the eyeshadows that I have high expectations from! I only swatched Ashes to Ashes and I kind of loved it… No chalkiness, no patchiness… But it only was a swatch on the hand! I’m yet to see how it works on the eye… 😳
And I totally relate to your taking notes situation… I have endless lists of things I want and always end up with something different… #lackofwillpower Haha!

And I have to admit it! Albatross is the one I added to my basket without second thoughts! You know that in the middle of nowhere they never heard of Camèlia des Plumes or Chanel Christmas Collection… Or Christmas Collections in general.
Well, I was lucky! Albatross is the closest dupe for the Chanel one! It’s a little less highlighting and more golden if you ask me, but gorgeous nonetheless!
I will definitely review and use all my NARS products and share my thoughts here, don’t worry! 😊xx

My all time favorite day-to-day tinted moisturizer is NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer. Have you used it? If so, I’ll skip the gushing. LOL.

Great! Annie… It’s a great one if you like tinted moisturizers. It reliably covers more thoroughly than other tinted moisturizers I’ve used, and resists creasing better than any, as well. Like any girl, I have others in my stash, and I love switching things up, but I’d have to say I reach for NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer more than any other. :o) There, gushing complete! xoxo Night, night.

I love tinted moisturizers… a lot! And BB Creams, anything that’s light-feeling on the skin… Especially during summer. 😊👌I know that they also have this great foundation too, I forgot its name though 😐, that everyone talks about… Have you tried that one too?

I haven’t tried any of the fuller coverage NARS foundations, but I would love to after my experience with their Pure Radiant. :o) Fun!

Albatross is so pretty. I’m so in love with it! You are gonna use it time and time again.
If you get a chance to buy any of the lip glosses, Turkish Delight is one of my all time favorite lip glosses. It goes well on every skin tone and is gorgeous on its own or over light pink or nude lipsticks.

I could kill to try the Nars blushers, but I wouldnt risk buying online something I havent tried, so I really must find a Nars counter when I next go abroad. Steph xx

This post has inspired me to break out Orgasm again, which I’ve been neglecting way too much as of late. I love the creamy concealer as well! I really want to try the eyeshadow duos, just haven’t made the plunge just yet. Can’t wait for your review!

I can’t wait to try the eyeshadows properly! I only swatched Ashes to Ashes on the back of my hand to compare it to MAC’s Satin Taupe and I think they’re very similar!

Woah what a haul!! yay to Nars! 😀 Alhambra looks super pretty definitely trying that one out the next time I am around a Nars counter! Also I have heard plenty about Kalahari and Surabaya eyeshadow duos, might want to look into that? 😉

You know what I wouldn’t recommend Orgasm to you! I have it and I hardly use! Deep Throat is WAY WAY prettier and wearable! Also get the smudgeproof eye shadow base trust me its the best thing out there! I love love Luxembourg satin lip pencil like SO much! I need that in my life ASAP! 😀

I know that Orgasm is a glitter feast with very warm gold undertones. Not my cup of cake indeed! That’s why I went for Deep Throat first! 😁👌 And for a separate golden shimmer/highlighter, like Albatross. But I kind of want to give Orgasm a chance to impress me too… *said my makeup hoarder alter-ego*😁🙊🙈 You know what I mean! 😅😅😅LOL
But I will definitely write down Luxembourg and check it out!

Selfridges has this LE set of Audacious Lipsticks and nail polishes which looks amazing… But costs an arm and a leg! Would really love to try their nail polishes though!

From what I tried on I absolutely LOVE Mekong; such an unique product, in about everything… Colour, texture, finish… It has the most beautiful holographic shimmer…
I definitely love Alhambra! I’m sure it will be my go-to everyday palette! Cordura is also beautifu! But didn’t tried these two… Yet!

I simply adore Nars, they know how to do color like no one! One of my favorite blush from them is “Sin”, a beautiful plum color, perfect for the colder months! I love to pair it with a deep berry/plum lipsticks, gives a very dramatic and glamorous look!
