This is my current nighttime skincare routine step by step!
STEP I:
– TIE HAIR UP – these might seem like a lot of hair ties and pins, but these go missing like crazy, so it’s always a good idea to keep a “few” in hand. Love these ones from Oysho.
STEP II:
– TAKE MAKEUP OFF – I’m a huge fan of cleansing. I firmly believe that a clean skin is a healthy skin… Therefore I double or triple-cleanse!
Here is how a triple cleanse sounds like:
I’m starting with some L’Occitane Cleansing Milk on two large cotton pads to take off most of my makeup. Then I wash my face with an oil cleanser, my pick: the L’Occitane Cleansing Oil and to make sure that there’s no makeup residue whatsoever I also use a tiny bit of the First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser combined with the Diptyque Radiance Boosting Powder.
On days where I’m not wearing a full-face of makeup, I skip on the L’Occitane Cleansing Oil and go directly to the First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser + Diptyque Radiance Boosting Powder combination.
STEP III:
– USE A TONER/EXFOLIATING PADS – I spritz some of the Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist on a regular cotton pad, then gently, in circular motions I take it all-over my face. Every other day I replace the face mist with one of the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads. These are amazing for a gentle acid exfoliation and they also tone and brighten your complexion. More on these coming soon!
STEP IV:
– HYDRATION + MOISTURE – USE A FACE SERUM – the one I’m currently using and loving the effect it has on my skin, is this Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate, of which I only use a few drops rubbed between the palm of my hands, then I press it into the skin. This is fast absorbing and doesn’t leave any greasy residue… I already wrote a review on it here!
– USE AN EYE CREAM – I’m was testing for quite a while this Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream a lightweight, yet very hydrating eye cream Alina from Debenhams UK kindly enough to sent it over, along with the Kiehl’s Serum. The review is already up!
– USE A MOISTURIZER – my moisturizer of choice has been lately the Elemis Hydra-Nourish Night Cream, an anti-oxidant, rich night cream. But for an extra boost of moisture and hydration I always reach for another First Aid Beauty product, the Ultra Repair Cream – a very, very rich cream that offers intense hydration for dry, parched skin.
– USE A LIP BALM – the lip balm I’m still loving at the moment is the Omorovicza Perfecting Lip Balm. I know, I kind of strayed away from my beloved By Terry Baume de Rose, but I felt that the Omorovicza one suited my needs better.
– USE A HAND CREAM – don’t forget about your hands! They also need to be moisturized regularly, especially at this time of the year. I still have left some of the Laura Mercier Fresh Fig Hand Cream, that I try to finish up. *Gosh, this smells delicious!* This would be the last hand cream in my stash then I will have to purchase a new one! Any good recommendations?
I would love to know what your PM Skincare Routine consists of, so please kindly share it in the Comments below!
Also keep in mind that this daily routine doesn’t include masks and other treatments I use! These will be featured in a separate post!
See you soon, beautiful!
xx, Annie

Yes, a moisturizer. I am running low on it and would love to try something new. Have you tried them. I have combination skin so sometimes choosing moisturizers for me is a bit tricky so I normally pair with a hydrating serum.

With this Ultra Repair moisturiser there’s no need for a serum, though I would recommend using one anyways! It’s rich and emollient and hydrating all-in-one… Doesn’t leave a greasy residue so it can be used morning and evening! And it also has a decent price tag! Definitely give it a go!
The texture is creamy, soft and lightweight! Not runny though, and sinks into the skin in a matter of seconds!
Give it a go! Who knows, it might work lovely for you as well! 😉
Have a gorgeous day sweetie! 😊xx

I will look for this on my trip to Sephora. Sadly the Laura Mercier foundation I purchased was a no for me. 😦 I will be returning it. I am on the fence about the HG palette too. I love it BUT it doesn’t work with all of my foundations. I need to use a more matte foundation with these as I have experienced. Otherwise I end up looking like an oily mess. We’ll see. Thanks for the description on the moisturizer. I really appreciate it. 🙂

I got the oil free one! It supposedly has a matte finish and also keeps the oils at bay! I do like dewy foundations, especially during spring and summer, but i also love to add my own glow to it! Like that I can control it and make use of those highlighters that aren’t quite few… 😅😅😅
So fingers crossed it will work for me!

I love your nighttime routine! Mine just consists of wiping off my makeup, then washing my face and depending on the week I might do a 10 min mask then adding my Estee Lauder serums and eye cream then Ponds cream. I am attached to my Ponds because it’s something my grandmother used and my mom so I like feeling there is some connection in me using it too lol. Dan’s is way more complicated and he loves Kiehls!! I asked him and he said the Midnight Recovery Concentrate is one of his favorites! You have quite the skin care routine! 🙂 I try my best to do a good job taking care of my skin. I sometimes like to use a makeup wipe first to get the bulk of my makeup off. Then I wash my face with either my Olay face wash or I have a sample of a Purlisse one that is specified for removing makeup that I have been trying out and loving. If I need to exfoliate I will use my exfoliating face wash by Garnier which contains peppermint and jojoboa oil and it makes my face feel so fresh and clean! I then use my Olay toner, then after that I have been using my Previse Tonic, then I moisturize with one of the many samples of facial moisturizer I have lol and I have been using the Balance Me eye cream as well. So I guess my routine is a bit complex too lol. I try to take good care of my skin because it is very important. Sorry for the long comment! Lol! Lots of xx! ❤ ❤

I will be taking my laptop too and I have to take one to my Mom that Ron set up for her. My Mom’s laptop will go in my suitcase but I told Ron he had to pay for the overweight luggage fee if my bag is overweight and he said he would. I’ve carried 2 laptops around with me in the airport before and it’s just a bit too much for me. Since I will be staying at my Mom’s, I will be able to wash my clothes there so I don’t have to worry about bringing too many clothes really at least.
But yes! I will have to look around and see if there are any travel micellaire waters. I should have picked up one when I was at the store over the weekend but it completely slipped my mind and I left my coupon at home anyway. I can still get to the store and get soon though.
Lots of xx

OMG! That soon!? time really does fly!? I’m happy for you though! You’re going home! The most amazing place on Earth! 👌🏼😻
Haha! I can only imagine the face Ron made when you let him know he had to pay the extra fee! LOL But I’m sure he would’ve paid anyway even without you telling him in advance! Haha!
Have a lovely trip beautiful and an amazing time at home! 😊xx

Yes that soon!! I can’t believe it myself! I am so excited! I just know when I see my Mom at the airport I’m going to cry! It’s always a wonderful reunion. I will be so happy when I don’t have to go so long without seeing my family.
Ron didn’t make a face lol he was just like “okay.” Lol. Ron is too good to me! Seriously! He is a wonderful man. 🙂 Thank you though so much! I am sure it will be an amazing trip home. 🙂 ❤ xx

Yes surprisingly Ron is a pretty calm and collected guy even though he does have ADD lol, so maybe not always calm about everything but when it comes to me he treats me the best! 🙂 Lots of xx

What a gorgeous nighttime routine!! It seems like a true enhancement to the day. 😊 I see you’re still loving your Dyptique powder. I was just looking at my bookmark from our conversation a couple of months ago. I’m looking forward to my future excuse to splurge on it!
My new favorite is an oil from Jouer. I’ll have a post later this week 😁💕
Happy Wednesday, ma belle!! I hope your week is going well!!
I just finished my three shifts and am gearing up for unboxing week!! :0)

Bonjour ma belle! Ahhh! I’m still getting used to your schedule and not having you around here as much as I would love to! But 😩😔, a girl’s got to do what a girl’s got to do!
Oh, I looove my cleansing powder! It turns into this soooo soft cleansing past combined with water, but with some extra cleansing lotion/wash added it become this creamy goodness that leaves your skin clean and resurfaced without drying it. 👌🏼😻 I’m on my second tube of that! 😁
I haven’t tried your Jouer choice, I had no idea they did skincare as well! Didn’t payed too much attention to that anyways! 😅

Oooooh! It sounds amazing! Would you consider doing a post on how you combine the ingredients to create the perfect cleansing texture?

actually there’s not that much of a fuss! a blob of the face wash and a generous amount of the cleansing powder and that would be it! I just measure everything with my eyes!… and that would be it!

Well, I will make sure check the one you suggested too! Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to reading your review on it! 😁
My week is going well! Nothing noticeable, thank goodness! 😅😅😅 I’m patiently waiting for the long weekend off we’ll be having this week. 1st and 2nd of May it’s bank holiday here, so I think that we’ll be going to the seaside since this is the day the summer season is officially opening, and across the border to Bulgaria to eat our favourite sea food, freshly picked up from the water! That’s the plan at least! It depends on when Gabs finished his shifts though! Fingers crossed for nice weather this weekend! 😁☀️✨👌🏼😻
Wished you a lovely time off as well!
Beaucoup des bisous 💕🌸🎀😊

I am wishing for good weather for you! This sounds like delightful weekend plans. Hooray. Would you pretty please post a picture or two on IG? I’d love to see a glimpse into your holiday weekend. I hope that Gabs is able to wrap his shifts up efficiently so that you can get out of town in good time.

Bonjourma belle’ sorry for the late reply ma belle, but I definitely followed your gorgeous friendly advice and spend loooots of time doing almost nothing! 😅😅😅
Well, it’s not completely correct! We were to the seaside this weekend as I think I already told you… We had a lovely time “doing nothing” just the basics… Eating, drinking, laughing, eating again, sleeping a lot, taking walks… I had the most amazing run on the beach the other morning! I love the sae! I wish we had a sea in Bucharest! 😩😔
Bottom line is that I managed to “disconnect” myself more than I expected…
So forgive me for the late replies and being MIA!
Sending you lots of bisous

Oh! As I was admitting to Katie earlier I did felt like I had something to do though, that I was missing on something! It was definitely the habit of talking to you my lovelies! That why I still – sporadically that’s true, checked my Insta and Twitter… Just for a little sneak peek into your lives, that’s all! LOL 😅😅😅
I hope you had a lovely weekend as well ma belle!
Gros bisous! 💕🌸🎀😘

This is a pretty solid skincare routine giirl! I’m all about that skin. I’ve been using a First Aid cleanser and so far so good, I’m very curious about their other products so this was great to read!
